Penile implant surgery involves the placement of two cylinders into the corporal bodies of the penis. Depending on the type of implant used, a one-inch incision will be made in the scrotum or horizontally behind the tip of the penis. These incisions will be closed with dissolving (invisible) stitches buried beneath the skin. There will be no stitches that have to be removed.
The specific prosthesis which would be best for you is discussed during our consultation. It is at this time that your particular situation will be reviewed and all available options discussed. A complete history, physical examination and review of your medical records will also be done at this time. I might also suggest further testing to determine the best option for you. Having over 20 years implant surgical experience I am confident you will be able to make an informed decision. Please review the information below.
